Returns Policy

We aim to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. As we source our products directly from Costco, our returns policy aligns with Costco's guidelines and the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

 

Exchange/Replace
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalised items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

 

Eligibility for Returns:

  1. Consumer Guarantees Act: Products that do not meet the Consumer Guarantees Act standards are eligible for return.
  2. Costco's Policy Compliance: Returns are accepted only if they comply with Costco's return policy.
  3. Item/s Condition: Item(s) must be in the same condition that you received it, unopened or unused, with the barcode/tag, and in its original packaging. 

Return Process:

  1. Initiating a Return:
    • Contact our customer service team by sending an e-mail to boxedgiftsco.nz@gmail.com within 14 days of receiving your order to initiate a return.
    • Provide your order number, details of the product, and the reason for the return.

  2. Return Authorisation:
    • Our team will review your request and if accepted, a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package will be sent through. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. 
    • You may be required to provide additional information or evidence (e.g., photos of the product).

  3. Return Shipping:
    • You will be responsible for shipping the product back to us unless the return is due to our error or a defect covered under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Refunds and Store Credits:

  1. Refunds:
    • If Costco processes a refund for the returned product, we will refund you the corresponding amount.
    • You’ll be refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days after we confirm the return with Costco. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
    • If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at boxedgiftsco.nz@gmail.com

  2. Store Credits:
    • If you prefer, we can issue store credit for the amount of the returned product, pending Costco's approval.
    • Store credits will be available for use on future purchases and will be processed within 3 days of return confirmation.
    • Store credit will not be issued if Costco refuses the refund for the product.

Non-Stocked Items:

  • As we do not stock items, all returns are subject to Costco's acceptance of the return.
  • Costco determines if a refund or store credit is applicable based on their evaluation.

Exclusions:

  • Items not covered by Costco's return policy.
  • Products that do not meet the requirements of the Consumer Guarantees Act and Costco's guidelines.
